SHORT TERM INSURANCE
In Between Jobs? Need Temporary Health Insurance Coverage?
Our lives are always changing. Short Term Health insurance can be a convenient, inexpensive and temporary option if you find yourself between health plans.
Coverage can be in effect for as little as 30 days or as long as one year. Each carrier has their own guidelines, but there is a solution for almost any situation.
Short Term coverage does not cover pre-existing conditions and is not considered credible coverage for the purposes of HIPAA.
Celtic and Assurant are the two short term plans that we offer.
Celtic Insurance Company can be purchased for up to 6 months and must be paid in one lump sum. Deductibles range up to $1000 and these plans are good if you know the time you will be without insurance.
Assurant Short Term plans can be purchased for up to a 6 month or 12 month basis. You can purchase for a specific time period or can be renewed monthly for an additional premium. This option is beneficial if you are unsure how long you need coverage.
Please note that Short Term Insurance is a great way to keep you and your family protected for the short term but is not a long term alternative to comprehensive medical insurance.
